Anyone that really knows me, knows how much i love Halo. In my opinion it is the greatest game(and trilogy) ever made. From its intriguing campaign mode to its groundbreaking online play, it definitely goes down in the gaming hall of fame lol. It even has an award winning soundtrack that probably sold more CDs than your favorite rapper. Halo 3 alone sold more than $170 million worth of copies in the first 24hrs of its release, breaking the record previously held by Halo 2. In the first 2 weeks after Halo 2 was released gamers spent an estimated 91 million hours playing online. Its very addictive and i can recall times when i played so much that anytime it was quiet in a room i could still hear the sounds of my shields recharging lol (dont judge me lol). So for the next couple of days i think i will take a trip through the world of Halo.

DAY 33

Working on my final projects and studyin for finals this whole week. Played too much halo and ended up with a migraine lol. Been converting my images to black and white a lot lately because i havent been very conscious of the colors in pictures. They can be very distracting.

DAY 32

Just gathering my thoughts. Crazy, long day. Dont really know what to say about this post. I need to re-evaluate the direction I'm taking this 365 project because it seems so random lol. I also think I'm going to start posting some of my school work because my self portraits dont always express the technical skills I have learned in my first semester of school.

DAY 31

This is where i wish i was right now. I love cali and im loving school but i would like to go home for a while. I miss the east coast and i miss my aunt and friends who still live in bmore.

DAY 30

After I did the poll the winner was a series of Mini-Me. So this is the return of him. Needless to say he was upset about being on the shelf so long.

DAY 29

Day 29. I got my package today from sony so i was rocking the lanyard all day lol. Didnt have my computer today so i couldnt do any post processing to this. Something Ive been experimenting with is pushing my ISO to create noise in my pictures, similar to grain in film photography. Still getting back in the swing of things.

DAY 28

Ok. Ok. Ok. I know its been an eternity since my last update. For me to explain it I would need two posts lol so hopefully you all forgive me and we can move forward amicably. Its been so long I thought a re-introduction was needed hence the name tag. Been in school at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco majoring in...........................................photography. I will try my best to stay on track from here on.

My fever came back and i died and went to heaven lol so we're gonna call this day 25.

DAY 24

So I feel a million times better today. Still got a slight cough but my fever is gone and my stomachache is gone. Nyquil did its job but i also had to get some natural medicine, that being the sun. Uv from the sun is needed by our bodies to produce vitamin d which strengthens our bones, muscles, and immune system. Uv from the sun also helps with our moods and is useful for disinfection and sterilization.

DAY 23

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Thats how i feel but im too weak to actually yell lol. They tried to hit me with the swine flu but ima be aight. Woke up to the fire alarm in my building and could barely get up. My temp was 101.5 today. Ima just take some nyquil and see how i feel in the morning.

DAY 22

Day 22, just watching downtown from a window in my parents crib. Not much going on so i dont have much to say.

DAY 21

After a long and hot day i had to cool down. Getting my late night fix, a Strawberry Frutista from Taco Bell. Im addicted lol.

DAY 20

For my birthday i got tickets to the Rock The Bells Tour in San Francisco. The concert was today. I went with my brother, randy and sasha. It was the dopest concert i'd ever been to. Probably better than all the other concerts ive been to combined lol. I got to see Mickey Factz, Slick Rick, Krs-One, The Roots, Big Boi(Outkast), Raekwon, Murs, Busta Rhymes, Slaughterhouse(Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I, Royce Da 5'9),Reflection Eternal(Talib Kweli+Hi-Tek), Rza(Wu-Tang), Damian Marley and Nas. The joint was 10hrs long and i enjoyed every minute of it!

DAY 19

Not much to say today. Just been one of those days. Im tired, aint really done much, dont really feel like doing anything lol. Listening to "Abbey Road" by The Beatles since its the 40th anniversary. I think i'll do something for that tomorrow.

DAY 18

Finally went to physical therapy today for my knee i injured playing basketball. I should be back to 100% in 3 weeks after being at about 35% for like 4 months. I cant wait to get back to dunking on people. So i got home and sat down and tried to think about my day but I really aint do much but i did start out the day walking. While thinking about my walk I had a memory of the ending of "The Incredible Hulk," (the old show) when the end credits are rolling, "The Lonely Man" theme music is playing, and Bruce Banner is hitchhiking.

DAY 17

I was watching videos on Youtube today and came across an intro to the 1996 NBA Playoffs with "Lil' Penny." Those commercials were pretty funny. Back when i had a pair of Air Pennys my nickname was Lil Penny(because of the way i hooped too, not just because of the shoes lol). So i thought it would be cool if i had a mini me.

DAY 16

Sorry for the late post. I spent pretty much all day in front of the computer and ended up with a massive headache lol so i went to bed without posting. I got to talk to some of my friends on TinyChat so i figured i'd make that the pic for the day. The glasses are those Real D joints they give u at the movies, my friend Deanna was hating on them so i kept them on lol.

DAY 15

Its been a loooooong and frustrating day but no time to complain because God is still great and so are my family and friends. I finally got home and realized i hadnt taken my pic so i got my camera, hopped in the car and drove to the docks at the end of the island chasing the sun before it set. It was mad windy and i kinda rushed the shot but this is day 15, one i definitely wont forget.

DAY 14

Sorry to disappoint y'all but i woke up from my musical journey lol. I will probably come back to it later on in the year. Had to run some errands today. Still trying to find a job out here in Cali so thats why i have the polo on. I was outside enjoying the weather and trying to come up with my next theme. Suggestions are welcomed lol.

DAY 13

Never been a big fan of southern hiphop especially anyone from atlanta outside of Outkast but in 2008 I had to give props to T.I. for his sixth album, "Paper Trails." I think hands down it was the best album of the year. Its funny how beef always makes an emcee step their bar game up. He definitely addressed every person hatin on him and deadin all them lol. I probably would have done Nas' "Untitled," but my lil brother Travis wanted me to do this instead. I was never good at doing these things in art class but i tried lol.

DAY TWELVE

Moving on to day 12 and its 2007. My favorite piece of music from this year was actually a mixtape and not an album and that would be Joe Budden's "Mood Muzik 3: For Better or For Worse." The third installment in a classic mixtape series was, in my opinion, good enough to be an album. Joey has been one of my favorite artist since 2003 and is still underrated because people cant get past "Pump It Up." I was going to remake the cover but i just wasnt in the mood(how ironic lol). So instead I decided to try to capture my current mood, which would be one of frustration and fatigue.

DAY ELEVEN

Day 11 and 2006. By now hip hop has been tainted by groups such as D4L, Dem Franchise Boyz, and people like Gucci Mane lol. I wanted to blow up every club cuz i was so sick of seeing people snapping their fingers. Along came a breath of fresh air in Lupe Fiasco. I remember when i first saw the video for "Kick, Push" everyone in my dorm wanted me to change the channel lol. Ive been tired all day so i got a lil lazy with the design, sorry.

DAY TEN

Its day ten now and i dont know how ima make it thru 355 more days lol. Im now at 2005 and my favorite album that year was Common's "BE." Another classic in my book, but there is one particular album that when i put on i cant help but think of my life in '05. That album would be Kanye West's "Late Registration." Everytime i hear a song from it i instantly think about fall semester of my freshmen yr of college. Ahh such great memories lol. "..He told me dont rush to get grown, drive slow homie..." Drive Slow.

DAY NINE

Its 2004 now and the album i chose is Lil Waynes "Tha Carter." In my opinion this is his best album and when it dropped i knew he had mad potential although now i think hes fallen all the way off the map but i'll save that for later. One of my favorite joints off the album was "Bring It Back." Not many ppl noticed that he went the whole song without cursing and it was still hot. But this is for all the fallen soldiers of hiphop, "I take off my brim, Moment of silence for my homeboy Souljah Slim." R.I.P Biggie, Pac, Pun, Big L, JMJ, Souljah Slim, Stack Bundles...

DAY EIGHT

Ok day 8 back on my grizzy lol. Its 2003 now and theres no way i could not do something for 50 Cents' debut album, "Get Rich or Die Tryin." I know since then people have started to dislike 50 but i think everyone respects his first effort, well i know because its certified 9x platinum lol. My favorite song from the album was "Many Men." Classic record and this is a remake of a scene from the video for it. I couldnt embed the video so if u wanna know its about 1:08 into the video.

DAY SEVEN

Had to break from my theme for today because it was a very special day. The best day outta the whole year, my BIRTHDAY!! I'm 22 and i now own a wheelchair and a cane. Im so old!! lol. Thanx to all of those who wished me a happy bday.

DAY SIX

This was probably the first day I had an idea and executed it almost exactly how i wanted to. Its 2002 now and I chose the best selling album of that year, "The Eminem Show." This is my favorite Eminem album and one of my favorite albums ever. He goes in on every track and i think outta all his albums this one had the most tracks with "serious" content instead of his twisted humor. Although its not my favorite track from the album, "Cleaning Out My Closet," was definitely a dope track, so i decided to recreate a scene from the video for it. The scene is about 1:36 into the video.

DAY FIVE

Its day five and im struggling to find a balance between photography and graphic design. Part of me wants to take every picture and turn it into a digital art piece and another part wants to just keep it strictly photo based. So today took me to 2001, a very good year in rap. There was Jadakiss' debut album, Fabolous' debut album, and two classic albums, Nas' "Stillmatic" and Jayz' "The Blueprint." The Blueprint is my favorite album ever and it helped me get thru one of the most fearful times of my life. "Rumor has it/the blueprint classic/ couldnt even b stopped by Bin laden/so September 11th marks the era/forever, of a revolutionary Jay Guevara." I really wanted to do something for the album but i think the events of the day it was released were far more significant in my life.

DAY FOUR

I had so many ideas for today but wasnt able to execute them due to limited resources, another reason i cant wait to start school. the next stop in my musical dreamworld journey is in 2000 with Common's, "Like Water for Chocolate." my favorite song from the album and probably one of my favorite songs ever is a song called "The Light." With that being said i guess this is pretty much self explanatory lol.

DAY THREE

Its day three and im starting to get the hang of things. I started thinking about music that means a lot to me and of course its hiphop/r&b. I can remember the first time i was introduced to hip-hop back in 1st grade and the first songs i fell in love with. My parents being conscious of the negative effects of hiphop on youth, didnt allow me to buy my own music until i was in middle school and even then i had to buy the edited versions lol. So, im 99% sure that DMX's "...And Then There Was X," was the first tape i bought. DMX overall as an artist has always been slept on. hes the only hiphop artist to put out 2 platinum albums out in the same year and his first 5 albums debuted number 1 on the charts. he has sold over 28 million cds but still is never mentioned in peoples top list because of the events in his personal life that have effected his career. so while i was asleep listenin to my music i dreamed i was a "ruff ryder 4 life." lol

DAY TWO

Its Day Two and i have some ideas for the next couple of days. So this is kinda like a prelude to the things to come.

DAY ONE

Day One of my 365. I spent all day trying to decide if i wanted to do something simple or something that took a bit of time. I had a couple of ideas but I think ima save those for later on. i definitely know what direction i wanna go in. So this is a collage of the things i did today trying to make my final decision on a theme lol. i promise the days to come will be more interesting.

School+365 Project

i cant wait to start school on September 3rd. excited about finally studying something im interested in instead of just going to school for a degree. excited about the people i will meet and the connections i will make. until school starts i figured i should start on my 365 project. thats where you take a different/unique self portrait everyday for an entire year. it sounds easy but we'll see. im going to try to b as creative as possible. my first pic will probably be posted later on today if not then i'll definitely make tomorrow Day One.
